Inclusive Perspective (Inclusief Perspectief) is the final product of my graduation project, created in collaboration with Brthrs Agency and the Accessibility Desk (Digitaal Toegankelijk). The goal is to integrate digital accessibility into development processes and raise awareness, ensuring accessible digital products.
The solution includes a training program and an online learning platform with a WCAG-based accessibility checklist. Developed with Digitaal Toegankelijk, the training immerses teams in the experience of individuals with disabilities using tools like screen readers and color blindness simulators. Teams then reflect on these experiences and collaborate with Digitaal Toegankelijk to find solutions.
After the training, teams receive the necessary tools in the online environment to design and develop accessible digital products using the checklist. The checklists provide detailed WCAG information and expert support, allowing teams to work collaboratively to fully understand and implement digital accessibility.
Inclusive Perspective aims to foster a culture of accessibility within development teams, ensuring compliance with the European Accessibility Act by 2025. The training and tools provided will enhance developers' motivation and ability to create accessible digital products, benefiting millions of users with disabilities and providing a competitive advantage to businesses.

To ensure that teams implement digital accessibility in their processes and products, the expertise of Digitaal Toegankelijk needs to be strategically utilized. Research showed me that these teams often lack the necessary knowledge and motivation, requiring practical solutions and learning pathways. The concept "Inclusief Perspectief" was developed to address this need.
Inclusief Perspectief includes a training program and an online learning platform featuring an accessibility checklist based on WCAG guidelines. The training immerses developers and designers in the user experience of individuals with disabilities. This experience helps them critically reflect, find solutions, and apply the accessibility checklist to their work.
The accessibility checklist underwent multiple iterations based on feedback from Digitaal Toegankelijk, Brthrs, experts and users. Created in Figma, the prototype incorporates branding from both organizations and includes custom illustrations to explain the "Inclusief Perspectief" concept. Accessibility checks were conducted with Digitaal Toegankelijk.
Two versions were developed: a demo version and a paid version. The demo version, used in training, provides a 30-day free trial with access to key themes in design and development. The paid version offers a complete checklist with collaborative features and access to Digitaal Toegankelijk for reviews and advice.
User testing with teams highlighted the value of the training structure and the checklist's design and functionality. Participants expressed interest in using the checklist in the future, and minimal adjustments were needed following the tests. The training and checklist were well-received, with participants finding them useful and engaging.

If you're curious about my iterative design processes, personal development and/or user testing and results, feel free to send me a message. I'd be more than happy to provide further insights into this graduation project.
